Freakstylez Studio

FREAKOne is the professional name of Michal Friku Handke, a Polish visual artist based in Huddersfield, England. He is known for his versatile “Freakstylez” art, which combines traditional painting techniques with modern graffiti and mural work, often featuring a blend of sci-fi and innovative themes.

Background and Style
Origins in Poland: Handke was attracted to art from an early age, evolving his technique from traditional painting forms to creating colorful graffiti on urban grey walls in Poland.

Move to England: He moved to England in 2005 to establish himself as a professional artist and enhance his profile, continuing his work despite a major eye trauma.

Artistic Approach: His work is characterized by a unique, vibrant, and dynamic aesthetic that can be described as “Freakstylez”. He creates both large-scale murals and exhibition pieces.

Community Involvement: Based in the Huddersfield area, he actively engages with the local community. He offers both one-to-one and group tutoring in both Art classes and Bonsai tree cultivation. He has also participated in exhibitions promoting the culture and talent of Eastern European artists in the region.

Exhibitions and Recognition: FREAKOne has featured in a multitude of Exhibitions. In September 2023, the Eastern European Culture Zone in Huddersfield hosted a dedicated exhibition of his work, which included the launch of a specific project called “Project Gold”.
