Being somewhat inspired by her Grandpa who was a collector of African Artefacts, and being very motivated by Thabo’s line in his song ‘Lottery Ticket’; ‘A little less cupid and some more Robin Hood would do us all some good’, Jolene is now proud to present for sale the unique Huddersfield On Tour Collections.

In purchasing the HOT! Collection and/or Project Gold, you will be supporting Jolene to turn Huddersfield On Tour into a fully functioning business. You will be supporting her to set up a creative, healing and live music venue in the heart of Huddersfield, which will provide employment opportunities for local people, and for which Jolene has gained 101 signatures of support from the general public. You will enable us to buy a vehicle/tour bus to take/bring performers to events and we will also have a Huddersfield On Tour App developed, which will inform the public of all music and creative events across Huddersfield at any given time. You will also enable Jolene to financially support herself and an array of local Artists, Musicians, and Creatives, including her Daughter.

In purchasing FREAKone’s Pencil Collection, you will be supporting him to quit his 16 year factory job so he can focus solely on the development of his Art Studio and Bonsai Tree Collection, as well as enabling him to open an Art Gallery in Huddersfield.

About Project Gold

Project Gold is a celebration of the female body and an exaltation of the source of human life. A significant departure from Artist Michal “FreakOne” Handke’s usual creative mediums, Project Gold uses the canvas of a model’s semi-naked body to express ideas of femininity, beauty and motherhood. 
 
The project was originally dreamed up by the Model, Jolene, a close friend of the Artist. She says: “A year ago, I told the Huddersfield based Polish Artist, FREAKone, that I wanted him to give me gold breasts. It took him nearly a year to really get on board with the idea, but when he did, he ran with it and he was so professional.” 
 
“My reasons for wanting to see this project manifest were numerous. For starters, I can be a bit of an exhibitionist, and I enjoy being a Muse to Artists. I also wanted to glorify my breasts because they, at one time, fed my baby. And because, let’s face it, breasts can also be a source of pleasure. So why not have gold ones and immortalise mine? I’m super impressed with how he treated me with such respect and dignity during the session and I’m super proud of the results.”
 

FREAKONE adorned Jolene’s upper body with 24 carat gold leaf to draw focus to her natural beauty, and by extension the beauty of all women’s bodies. 

The creative process began around 3 months before the photo-shoot took place. During this time FREAKone obtained the 24 carat gold leaf, secured a professional photographer, and began arranging the props to be used in the photoshoot, including a bonsai tree, a sword, an apple, flower petals, and colour powder from Ministry of Colours. 

Project Gold is a heartfelt honouring of the female form and a prayer of gratitude to womankind.
