SARALA SOUL

Huddersfield-born freestyle singer and songwriter Sarala Soul is best known for her ‘top of the dome’ honest and emotional vocals, and for championing positive projects in her community. Sarala Soul has performed at many events over the years that support youth and community in Huddersfield, including the first Black Hair and Skin event and the Back to our Roots event with Conscious Youth.

She has also opened shows for the likes of Akala with Huddersfield’s own Kemetstry, and featured on Darkstars album which led to her being featured in Fader magazine.

On her own creative journey she has collaborated with many instrumentalists. She thoroughly enjoys performing live with fresh sounds and combining acoustic instruments with warm, jazzy, soulful vocals. Sarala Soul’s performances are magical, taking real-time freestyle to different levels, combining Soul, Jazz, RnB, Indie and Alternative sounds. She can lend her voice to many genres!

Whilst headlining shows like SisterHudd in Huddersfield, on the eve of this year’s International Women’s Day, Sara’s motto’s are… “Feel the fear and do it anyway!” “Work hard and play harder!” “Don’t be a victim of your circumstances!” “Thrive like the rose that grew from the concrete!”
